Human Trafficking
My Sisters' Place (MSP) has been serving survivors of human trafficking in Westchester County and surrounding regions since 2000. In 2007, MSP was chosen by the New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance (OTDA) to be the human trafficking services provider for the Lower Hudson Valley region of New York State. This region includes Westchester, Rockland, Orange, Putnam, Dutchess, Ulster, and Sullivan Counties.
MSP works with survivors of sex and labor trafficking, male or female, U.S. citizen or foreign-born, documented or undocumented, minor or adult. MSP has worked with survivors of human trafficking from across the globe, including the United States, Africa, Asia, Eastern and Western Europe, and North, Central and South America.
MSP Human Trafficking Services
MSP directly provides the following services:
- needs assessments
- emergency shelter and transitional housing
- case management
- individual and group counseling
- legal services (including family law and immigration advice and representation)
- specialized services for children
- job readiness training, job placement and enrollment in specific educational/vocational training programs
- other identified service needs
MSP utilizes strong existing community and regional partnerships to provide referrals for:
- health assessments and medical care
- sexual assault treatment and care
- mental health assessments and treatment
- food (for non-shelter clients)
- non-emergency housing
- other identified service needs
In addition, MSP has established relationships with other service providers within and around New York State that may accept referrals for victims who cannot be safely placed in our Westchester shelters or who choose to stay in the county where they are based.

Training and Technical Assistance
MSP expert staff are available to provide training, technical assistance, consultations and presentations on various aspects of human trafficking to law enforcement, government, healthcare, community and faith-based organizations, as well as other community partners.
