Training Opportunities

My Sisters’ Place provides personalized training and technical assistance to all types of audiences, including service providers, government agencies, community groups, educational settings, and faith based organizations that may be working with victims of domestic violence and their children.

Our hope is that by expanding the number of professionals and community members who have a deeper understanding of the dynamics and consequences of violence in the family, we can create better system response to survivors as well as prevent further violence in our communities.

Our workshops are designed to be highly interactive, utilizing educational lectures, small group discussions and experiential activities.

Topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Dynamics of Domestic Violence
  • Stalking and Technology Safety
  • Immigrant Victims of Domestic Violence
  • The Impact of Domestic Abuse on Children
  • Risk Assessment and Safety Planning
  • Domestic Violence in the Workplace
  • Teenage Relationship Abuse
  • Healthy Relationships
  • Healthcare Response to Domestic Violence
  • Assessing and Serving Survivors
  • Accessing DV Services in Westchester County
